Welcome to Pilsen Montessori.  A low cost, high quality alternative to daycare located in the heart of Chicago.  It is our goal at Pilsen Montessori to support and facilitate the education and development of children by stimulating the growth of each child’s Mind, Body, and Spirit according to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. To this end, we have prepared an environment that is engaging and responsive to each child at each stage of development.


Pilsen Montessori offers the quality education and care your child deserves.  We supply a nurturing, child-friendly home learning environment with an AMS certified directress for children two to six years of age.  Let us help prepare your child for life (and Kindergarten!) by not only working on practical life skills but also mathematics, reading and comprehension, and life sciences.  In addition, your child will spend time outside in our urban garden planting fruits and vegetables while learning about nature.  Finally, your child will practice yoga, discover their creative side with art projects, as well as participate in “cooking” lessons.  


Pilsen Montessori takes great pride in being a part of a community rich in culture, heritage, art, and activism.  Community is deeply valued and we strive to teach children awareness of this by being out and about in the neighborhood.  They will see the beautiful murals that adorn the walls of the many buildings in Pilsen.  They will visit the National Museum of Mexican Art.  They will participate in many of the festivals that take place in Pilsen (Day of the Dead, Chicago Fringe Festival, Cinco De Mayo, and many more).  We will do our part to support and keep the neighborhood and its rich heritage alive.
